Update...

It's been a while so I thought I might post a quick update as to where we are. When I first published this blog to everyone I did it with the intention that things were starting to move along. I guess if we have learned anything with this process it is to not get too excited.
After receiving the LOI from Kazakhstan we have been patiently waiting for our travel dates but so far nothing.
So, in the meantime, all our documents are nearing expiration (again) and we are in the position of getting them all updated.
Right now we are just starting to do another Home Study Addendum and then we go back to KC to get a new 171H USCIS Approval. (immigration approval)
So that's pretty much it for now, I just wanted to let anyone know that may be checking our blog so you don't think we abandoned it.
Thank you for following and as always we will post something as soon as we hear any news.

Waiting...

It's been a month and a week since we received our LOI from America World and still no word on our travel dates yet.

Although that might not be a bad thing necessarily since we just learned a week ago we have to apply for a visa to get into the country.
So that is in the works right now. Hopefully we will have that back in a month and we can continue on. (waiting)
Until then I don't have much to say but I thought since I sent the blog out to everyone I should update it every once in a while.

I don't have any real information to offer so I'll try to make this post somewhat interesting by posting a picture of the moon that I'm proud of. I shot it a couple nights ago.

Just received our Letter of Invitation

As we were heading to Colorado last Tuesday for some much needed time away from work we finally received the information we have been waiting on. Johanna (our family coordinator) sent us a email letting us know that Dr Dubrovsky confirmed our registration in Urlask! We're finally on our way soon!
Dr Dubrovsky (our lawyer over in Kazakhstan) won't return from Eastern Europe until mid-August so we won't have travel dates until then but if we waited this long we shouldn't have a problem waiting a couple more weeks.
Next update should be soon!
It won't be long and we will be foreigners.

After what seemed like forever...

We finally may be heading to Kazakhstan in the near future!!!

Just received notice today that we have been assigned a region! Uralsk, Kazakhstan.

I can't believe things may actually be starting to happen after almost 2 years. I know we still have a few months before we receive a letter of invitation but just to hear things are going again is very nice.

Hopefully the next update will be with airline tickets in hand.
